Unlock the power of 3D printing with free Space Park Leicester webinar

Entrepreneurs, engineers and business leaders are being given the chance to discover the potential of 3D printing to transform their industries at a free Space Park Leicester webinar.

‘Unlock the Potential of 3D Printing: Free Webinar on Additive Manufacturing’ offers a quick introduction to the world of 3D printing and will reveal how the technology can give businesses a competitive edge.

The University of Leicester’s £100 million science and innovation park’s webinar on Thursday, April 24, will also include an exclusive preview of Space Park Leicester’s upcoming two-day 3D printing workshops.

Professor Mark Sims, of Space Park Leicester and the University of Leicester’s School of Physics and Astronomy, said: “Organisations are increasingly seeing the benefits that come with 3D printing including its abilities to speed up prototyping and product development processes and make them more efficient.

“Our free webinar is designed for entrepreneurs, engineers and business leaders who want to find out how 3D printing works and how it could benefit their organisations.

“Attendees will have the chance to ask questions of industry experts and also find out more about our two-day 3D workshops which we’re launching later this year to help businesses harness the power of 3D printing.”

Space Park Leicester’s two-day 3D printing workshops will be run in conjunction with industry experts, 3D Matters, and will feature hands-on activities and the chance for companies to gain a thorough understanding of the 3D printing market.

The two-day workshops will also explore:

  • Is 3D printing a transformative technology that is comparative to the industrial revolution?
  • Is 3D printing better than traditional manufacturing processes?
  • Is our aim to design and manufacture more quickly and cost effectively decreasing the product design cycle and time to market?
  • An interactive discussion about key aspects of 3D printing
  • An examination of the technology to help businesses match the right print technology, materials, and printer model for their specific requirements

The workshops will also include networking opportunities, and a post-course one-hour consultancy offer will be included in the price.

The two-day workshops will take place on May 14 and 15, September 23 and 24 and November 27 and 28. For further information and bookings, visit https://www.space-park.co.uk/services/3d-printing-services/
