Space Park Leicester call up from Department for International Trade
Space Park Leicester will join industry leaders from around the world representing Great Britain at the Global Space and Technology Convention in Singapore following invitation from the Department for International Trade.
Vinay Patel, Commercial Manager at Space Park Leicester, has been asked to represent the UK Space Agency at GSTC, taking place at Sheraton Towers Singapore on 15 and 16 February.
He will be joined by representatives from 11 other industry leaders such as Black Arrow space technologies, Catapult Satellite Applications and Celestia UK.
Vinay said: “We are thrilled to be invited to attend GSTC by the Department for International Trade.
“Space Park Leicester is at the forefront of space technology research and development, and we look forward to sharing our work and ideas with the GSTC community and exploring potential collaboration opportunities.”
The GSTC is a premier event for the global space community, bringing together leaders in space technology, research, and policy to discuss the latest developments and opportunities in the field. Space Park will represent the United Kingdom under the GREAT Britain and Northern Ireland campaign.
GREAT is the UK’s international brand marketing campaign, which works closely with UK businesses, not-for-profit organisations and high-profile figures to promote the best of the UK abroad. It has already brought in over £4.5bn since its initial launch in 2011, by increasing exports from UK food and drink through to British music and film, as well as driving inward foreign direct investment and supporting thousands of jobs.
Space Park Leicester provides state‐of‐the‐art facilities for research, development, and manufacturing. It houses capabilities and companies covering an end‐to‐end capability, from satellite design and engineering, through to downstream data and its applications. This creates unmatched opportunities for collaboration.
Vinay added: “The space industry is one of the most exciting and rapidly evolving sectors in the world today. With the potential to revolutionize everything from communications to weather forecasting, space technology has the power to change our lives in ways we can’t yet imagine.”
The GSTC will feature a range of presentations, panel discussions, and networking events, providing attendees with a unique opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the field, as well as connect with other space professionals.
