GALLERY: Luke Jerram’s COP Globe arrival at Space Park Leicester

9 October 2023: Commissioned by Space Park Leicester partner, CGI, the Conference Of Parties (COP) Globe, created by the celebrated artist Luke Jerram, known worldwide for his large-scale public engagement artworks is unveiled in the Space Park atrium.

The globe mark’s Space Park Leicester and CGI’s commitment to sustainability, and highlights the role space is playing in the fight against climate change

The COP globe is the sister to the slighter larger, Gaia, also by Luke Jerram and seen at COP26 in Glasgow. The globe provides an overview of the planet from the perspective of outer space and has its surface illustrated with earth observation imagery.
